“It matters what stories we tell to tell other stories with… It matters what stories make worlds, what worlds make stories.” ― Donna J. Haraway
As 2025 draws to a close, we at BC Voices are deeply grateful for your continued partnership in amplifying women’s voices and protecting our shared history.
This has been a year of both challenge and purpose — a year that reminds us just how vital our collective storytelling truly is. Across the country, we’re seeing renewed efforts to silence women’s stories, restrict access to education, and rewrite the hard-won truths of our past. From the rollback of diversity and gender equity initiatives to the censorship of curricula that teach women’s and civil rights history, the erasure of women’s voices is not abstract — it’s happening right now, in classrooms, legislatures, and the public square.
That’s why BC Voices exists — to preserve, protect, and amplify women’s histories before they’re erased. Through our award-winning docuseries Stand Up, Speak Out: The Personal Politics of Women’s Rights, we continue to give voice to generations of women who have fought for the rights that shape our everyday lives — the right to work in any kind of job, to earn equal pay for equal work, to vote, to choose what happens to our bodies, to love freely, and to be heard.
Thanks to your generosity, the first three episodes illuminating how critical equal pay, voting rights and reproductive rights are to women’s opportunities, independence and freedom have reached national and international audiences, inspiring dialogue in classrooms and communities, and motivating political activism. And, there is still so much more to tell!
Currently, the historical overview for the fourth episode, To Marry Whom We Love, Or, Not At All, is in production — a powerful reminder of the centuries-long struggle for freedom in our most intimate relationships. To complete post-production for this historical narrative — including editing, sound design, music, and archival licensing – release it during 2026 Women’s History Month, and then market and promote it far and wide, we are launching our 4th Quarter Fundraising Campaign to raise $44,000.
Your support will ensure this chapter in women’s ongoing fight for full equality is not just told, but seen, shared, and remembered.
We thank you for your continued partnership and wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving.
